The Deal Professor written by Professor Steven M. Davidoff, a former corporate attorney at Shearman & Sterling and current professor at the University of Connecticut School of Law. His research focus is on corporate governance, regulation of hedge funds, mergers and acquisitions, and securities regulation.

Corporate Counsel
This is the web site associated with Corporate Counsel magazine, one of American Lawyer Media's publications. Site provides news for the in-house community, including access to articles in Corporate Counsel magazine and the Directory of In-House Law Departments at the Top 250 Companies. Access to the directory is free upon creating an account and obtaining a password. Directory is searchable by industry or practice area. Each listing provides the size of the legal department and a brief biography of the chief legal counsel, including law school attended.

Corporate Pro Bono
Initiative of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), designed to increase the amount of pro bono work performed by in-house counsel. Site provides information about those corporations most committed to pro bono work and the types of projects taken on by these organizations.

eFinancial Careers
Acareer website for accounting and finance professionals in the United States. The site provides these professionals with career opportunities, news and advice that is specific to their profession and a variety of tools to market themselves and manage a new job search. The targeted job postings available in the eFinancialCareers.com database are from companies across industries and locations throughout the United States and cover a variety of positions for tax accountants, auditors, fraud examiners, analysts, controllers and CFOs, as well as many other finance and accounting professionals.

Hoovers
Hoover's website features a database of information on more than 30 million corporations and organizations, and more than 35 million people. Searches can be performed by company name, executive name, industry profiles, or geographic area.The free site will provide a snapshot of company financials, locations, management and main competitors.To view the expanded details an individual subscription is required and available through the site.


Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index
This site assesses corporate America's progress towards equal treatment of the LBGT community. Human Rights Campaign (HRC) is thelargest civil rights organization working to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans.Itrepresents a grassroots force of over 750,000 members and supporters nationwide.

Ajob posting site for technology, media and entertainment companies. Job seekers can search for open positions based on keywords, skills, location, and information technology experience.

Minority Corporate Counsel Association
The web site serves as a repository of information about diversity in the legal profession, including career-related articles, lists of recipients of MCCA's Employers of Choice Awards, spotlights on minority corporate counsel, and links to web sites of companies and local minority bar associations.

Thedeal.com
The Deal LLC covers dealmaking across all its many mutations along with the ups and downs of economic cycles and business leaders. Thedeal.com provides content that serves the news, information and idea generation needs of corporate and financial dealmakers, advisers, intermediaries and investors.

Vault
Use this Vault site to supplement the information on legal careers available through the Vault Career Insider for YLS and to gather information about industries other than law, such as banking and consulting. For each industry, site provides profiles of employers, message boards and career articles. Portions of the site are reserved for paying "Gold" members. A three-month "Gold" membership is $14.95/month.

WetFeet
In the "Careers and Industries" section of the site, you can read career and industry overviews, job requirements, career tracks and compensation for a host of business careers. This section also contains company profiles, information about salaries, perks and city profiles. Site also contains an advice section and job listings. Wetfeet Press publishes Insiders Guides on job searching and on particular industries and employers. These publications are available for sale via the WetFeet site and many are also in CDO.
