A nonprofit, nonpartisan, 500,000 member/supporter public interest organization devoted exclusively to protecting the basic civil liberties of all Americans, and extending them to groups to which they have traditionally been denied. The site has information and job announcements for the ACLU.

National Center for Adoption Law & Policy's Adoption Jobsite
The National Center for Adoption Law & Policy matches law students who are interested in summer assignments concerning permanence for children with private, public and nonprofit entities that can use their help. This web site offers law students the opportunity for child welfare, family advocacy or adoption-related job experience in several different states.

National Legal Aid and Defender Association

PSJD
The Public Service Jobs Directory, formerly known as PSLawNet, is an effective and centralized tool to find information about public interest opportunities. PSJD is a network of 200 member law schools across the country United States and Canada and more than 13,000 law-related public interest organizations around the world. PSJD provides a comprehensive clearinghouse of public interest organizations and opportunities for lawyers and law students.

PSJD Public Service Blog
This new blog serves as an information clearinghouse for both law students and lawyers working in the public interest sector. The blog includes news about the public interest job market and issues/policy changes affecting the public interest community. It also has guest columns from public interest practitioners and career services counselors as well as helpful resources for job seekers at all levels of experience.

Public Counsel
Public Counsel is the nation’s largest pro bono law office. Their primary mandate includes: protecting the legal rights of disadvantaged children; representing immigrants who have been the victims of torture, persecution, domestic violence, trafficking, and other crimes; and fostering economic justice by providing individuals and institutions in underserved communities with access to quality legal representation. Public Justice
Public Justice (formerly Trial Lawyers for Public Justice) is a national public interest law firm dedicated to using trial lawyers' skills and resources to create a more just society. 

Public Policy Handbook
Resource for internships with over 50 think tanks, advocacy organizations, federal agencies and other institutions engaged in policy analysis and implementation. While most positions are open to disciplines other than law, they all utilize the skills of a law student – problem identification, policy research, analysis of the decision-making process and end result policies, advocacy, and policy implementation. The positions allow students to develop expertise in specific areas, such as human rights, education, voting rights, health, global issues, and security. The official website locator for searching within the United Nations, with additional links to other international organizations. A related site - www.un.org/depts/OHRM/indexpo.htm - is the site of the Office of Human Resources for the UN, with information on types of jobs and openings.

Yale Student Grants and Fellowships Database
Searchable database of grants and fellowships funded and/or administered by Yale. Most of these are open only to Yale students and are available from Yale's schools, departments, and programs, while others are national competitions to which Yale nominates candidates.
