Kelly came to CDO in June 1999 from the Career Services Office at Duke University School of Law. At Yale, Kelly focuses on counseling relating to the private practice of law, including law firms, corporations, banks, and management consulting firms, in addition to alternative career paths. With her prior experience as a public sector counselor, however, she is also pleased to speak with students regarding any area of legal employment.

Through her work with NALP's Recruitment Practices Committee, Kelly has assisted in developing NALP's new online Workplace Questionnaire, which solicits information from legal employers about benefits, alternative work options, pro bono and more. Kelly is certified to administer the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and holds an annual session for students to learn more about their personality types.

Kelly graduated in 1992 from The George Washington University National Law Center with high honors, where she was named to the Order of the Coif and served as a member of the George Washington Law Review. From 1992 to 1995, Kelly was an associate in the litigation department of the Boston law firm, Hale and Dorr, where she handled general litigation matters and served as a pro bono attorney and fundraiser for Greater Boston Legal Services. Prior to coming to Yale, Kelly served for four years as the Associate Director of Career Services at Duke, where she counseled students and developed programs relating to both public and private sector law practice. Kelly is a member of the Massachusetts Bar.
