Lecture by Professor Emmanuel Gaillard
On 4 February 2012, the YSIL hosted a lecture by Professor Emmanuel Gaillard on ‘Competing Arbitral Proceedings’. Professor Gaillard addressed the difficult issues that arise when multiple arbitral proceedings arise from the same events. Professor Gaillard is one of the leading scholars and practitioners of international law and international arbitration worldwide. He is a Professor of Law at Sciences Po Law School and heads the international arbitration practice of Shearman & Sterling LLP. He has served as expert, counsel, or arbitrator in numerous arbitral proceedings under most international arbitration rules.
