Health, Safety, and Sustainability in the Modern Food System

The Yale Center for Environmental Law & Policy, YELA, and the Yale Sustainable Food Project are co-hosting a panel discussion on health, safety, and sustainability in the modern food system at Yale Law School on Thursday, October 4. The panel, which will be moderated by Yale Sustainable Food Project Director Mark Bomford, will investigate how the modern food system is working in terms of health, safety, and sustainability, what’s driving the limitations and shortcomings, and where progress is being made. Speakers include Shake Shack CEO Randy Garutti, University of Texas Law Professor Thomas McGarity, Urvashi Rangan, director of Consumer Reports’ consumer safety and sustainability group, and food writer Kristin Wartman.
