Affirmative Action: Promoting Equality or Perpetuating Discrimination?
William B. Allen is a Professor of Political Science at Michigan State University, and the chairman and co-founder of Toward A Fair Michigan, a group that was influential in the passage in 2006 of Proposition 2, amending the Michigan constitution to ban public affirmative action programs. Professor Allen has served as Chairman of the United States Commission on Civil Rights.
Drew S. Days, III is the Alfred M. Rankin Professor of Law at Yale Law School, and the founding director of the Orville H. Schell Jr. Center for Human Rights. He has been a staff member of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, the Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights in the Carter Administration, and U.S. Solicitor General in the Clinton Administration.
