Climate, Markets, and Law

How can markets help address climate change? Is "cap and trade" effective? What is "cap and trade" anyway? Professor Sanja Bogojevic of the University of Lund, Sweden, and David Farnsworth of the Regulatory Assistance Project will discuss emissions trading schemes past, present, and future. Professor Bogojevic will offer an in-depth perpective based on her recent book on emissions trading schemes, and Mr. Farnsworth will offer a practical perspective based on his experience with the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) and other regulatory mechanisms.
