Committees
The Community Committee develops the community of women at Yale Law School and YLS alumni through events that foster peer-to-peer, peer-to-faculty, and peer-alumni relationships. Community fosters deeper friends and informational relationships between women at the law school, establishes professional networks for students pursuing a wide variety of career paths, and develops a broad coalition of YLS women with common goals and interests. To become involved in the Community Committee, please contact Emily Oldshue or Lauren Pardee.
The Support Committee creates an environment for female students at Yale Law School that is supportive, encouraging, and enabling. Support facilitates formal and informal advising and information sharing among students, and also helps the female students take full advantage of the resources YLS has to offer. To become involved in the Support Committee, please contact Julie Holt or Courtney Carrell.
The Outreach Committee looks to the world beyond YLS and creates service and learning opportunities outside of traditional YLS networks. To do so, Outreach establishes new relations with the local legal and non-legal community, international womens’ organizations, Yale University schools, other law schools, and the legal professional around the country and globally. To become involved in the Outreach Committee, please contact Marisa Van Saanen.
