Established in 2005 as a joint venture of Yale Law School and the Yale Philosophy Department, the Center for Law and Philosophy is dedicated to promoting advanced scholarship in legal philosophy. The Center’s activities, including workshops, conferences, and cross-listed courses, are designed to foster deep intellectual engagement between law students (J.D., LL.M., and J.S.D.) and students in the Philosophy Department (Ph.D. and majors). By bringing together faculty, students, and visiting scholars from around the world, the Center cultivates a dynamic environment for research and debate.
A selection of papers by faculty affiliated with the Center is available for review on this website.
