Established in 1990, the Graduating Class Gift Campaign was initiated by students as a way to say “thank you” to the Law School for wonderful memories and an education that will last a lifetime. Through their support, graduating students not only continue the rich tradition of alumni giving, but help to ensure that future students receive the same—and hopefully even greater—benefits that they enjoyed.

Starting this year in 2016, graduating students will have the option to make their gifts directly to the organizations, journals, and clinics of their choosing. Gifts may be made outright or students may choose to make a one-time pledge payable by December 31, 2016. Gifts may also be made in honor of individual(s) who enhanced the student's Law School experience.

The Law School will match all outright gifts up to $500, and two generous alumni have agreed to provide two additional 1:1 matches. Thus, each student's gift will be matched 3:1.

Yale Law School has a strong tradition of alumni giving and we look forward to welcoming the Class of 2016 into our alumni community. We hope the Class Gift will provide a moment to reflect on the continued generosity of thousands of alumni whose contributions to the school have enabled it to maintain its excellence and will allow it to thrive in the decades to come.
