Samantha Godwin works in medical law, family law, and civil rights law. Her research interests concern questions of equality and liberty interests for legally incapacitated persons, including children and people with mental health or intellectual disability issues. More recent research has included experimental research on public communication concerning addiction, and theorizing moral universalist alternatives to identity based civil rights discourse.
