Simulation Courses

An overview of the simulation courses offered at Yale Law School

A Diverse Variety of Simulation Courses

Yale Law School offers a growing number of practice-oriented courses for its business curriculum, taught by leading practitioners in corporate and business law — many of them our own alumni, practicing in New York or Washington, D.C. These courses typically involve simulated negotiating exercises, document-drafting skills, and other practice-based activities under the supervision of experts in various fields.

Business simulation courses are offered in such areas as Corporate Crisis Management, Negotiating and Drafting M&A Agreements, International Arbitration, and IPOs.

The Entrepreneurship & Innovation Clinic at Yale Law School works closely with the entrepreneurial communities at Yale University and beyond. Clients range from student and faculty-led ventures at Yale to innovative start-ups and emerging growth companies from entrepreneurial places on the East Coast and from around the globe, including from the greater New Haven innovation ecosystem.

Yale Law School also offers a live-client transactional clinic, the Ludwig Center for Community and Economic Development Clinic, in which students represent developers, small businesses, and community organizations in negotiating financing, real estate, and other business agreements.

Other simulation courses are offered in such areas as Appellate Advocacy and Civil Litigation.
