A Conversation with Ambassador Rosemary DiCarlo

The Yale Law School Center for Global Legal Challenges (GLC) hosted Ambassador Rosemary DiCarlo, former U.S. Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, for discussions with students and faculty. Ambassador DiCarlo provided insight into operation and challenges of the United Nations, particularly in a more fractured, multi-polar international environment.

Ambassador DiCarlo currently serves as the president of the National Committee on American Foreign Policy and is a senior lecturer at Yale University’s Jackson Institute. Her career in government spans 30-years in the Foreign Service, in which she held a variety of positions ranging from President of the U.N. Security Council to U.S. Coordinator for Stability Pact Implementation in the Balkans. Ambassador DiCarlo is also member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Women’s Foreign Policy Group and Women in International Security. She also serves on the advisory board of Global Cities.
