E. Kelly ’12 and X. Tang ’12: Forbes 30 Under 30 in Law & Policy

Elizabeth Kelly '12 and Xiyin Tang '12 have made the Forbes 30 Under 30: Law & Policy list.

As a Special Assistant to the President, Kelly was the White House lead on all issues related to retirement. She was one of the key figures behind the Department of Labor's "conflict of interest" rule requiring retirement advisers to act in their clients best interests that has sparked a fierce debate between Washington and Wall Street. She recently joined United Income as the Director of Policy.

Tang is an intellectual property associate at Mayer Brown, LLC where she focuses on copyright litigation with a focus on digital music and licensing. She has written substantially on evolving trademark and copyright laws and how they intersect with new technologies. She's represented Google, Spotify and Amazon in copyright law and digital streaming cases. Additionally, she teaches a seminar at Yale Law School on intellectual property in the digital age.
