The Obama Administration and War Powers with Professor Jack Goldsmith

The Yale Law School Center for Global Legal Challenges (GLC) hosted Jack Goldsmith, the Henry L. Shattuck Professor at Harvard Law School. Professor Goldsmith provided insight into the Obama Administration’s use and abuse of the War Powers. In addition to speaking at a lunchtime event, Professor Goldsmith led a discussion during a seminar on Wartime National Security Lawyering.

Professor Goldsmith is currently the Henry L. Shattuck Professor at Harvard Law School, a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, and a co-founder of Lawfareblog.com. He teaches and writes about national security law, presidential power, cybersecurity, international law, internet law, foreign relations law, and conflict of laws. Previously, Professor Goldsmith served as Assistant Attorney General, Office of Legal Counsel from 2003-2004, and Special Counsel to the Department of Defense from 2002-2003.
