FISC Access Litigation

About the Case

On June 5, 2013, The Guardian published the first document released by NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden: a secret order of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) requiring Verizon to turn over bulk telephone records of its customers to federal law enforcement officials.  On November 6, 2013, MFIA and the ACLU filed an access motion seeking any FISC opinions on the bulk collection of data. On October 30 2014, MFIA filed a notice of supplemental authority.
