SLB Room 120
Open to the Yale Community

Join the Global Health Justice Partnership and co-sponsors for a discussion with Dr. Judith Glassgold, a clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience with LGBTQ affirmative therapy and advocacy. Dr. Glassgold will discuss integrating science and public policy in state efforts to ban the use of psychotherapy to change LGBTQ+ orientations and identities (aka “conversion therapy”). She will focus on how recent federal efforts, legal and political issues, including anti-LGBTQ+ movements present new challenges to psychological science.

Over the last 30 years, Dr. Glassgold’s professional work has focused on improving psychotherapy for LGBTQ+ populations through clinical work, teaching, training, writing, leadership in professional organizations, staff roles in the US Congress, and mental health advocacy.
