Medical-Legal Partnership offers an interdisciplinary approach to addressing social determinants of health, with law students and lawyers working in collaboration with medical providers to address unmet legal needs.
Students in MLP gain invaluable direct services experience with one of several clinical populations—including formerly incarcerated people, undocumented individuals, palliative care patients, geriatric patients, children, veterans, and oncology patients—in cases involving immigration, housing, employment, public benefits, estate planning, and more. MLP also engages in advocacy efforts and training/education of medical providers and patients.
