Solveig Olson-Strom and Philine Qian will discuss their trip to China over winter break, which was made possible by the Streicker fund. They visited a project site of a grassroots environmental NGO, Green Camel Bell, which was founded by Zhao Zhong, a Yale World Fellow and PTCC visiting scholar in the 2022–2023 academic year. The project site is in the Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Region of Gansu province. Solveig and Philine will share what they learned about traditional herding practices and ecological issues in the region.
