Kangyun Bao

Kangyun BaoKangyun Bao is a J.S.D. candidate at Yale Law School, where he received his LL.M. degree in 2022. Apart from the education experience at Yale, Kangyun earned his Ph.D., LL.M., LL.B., and B.A. degree at Peking University in China. He also spent one semester as an exchange student at Columbia Law School in New York City. Kangyun served as a member of the Peking University Law Review editorial board. He is also a research fellow at Tsinghua University in China.

Kangyun’s academic interests include law and economic development, corporate governance and financial regulation, international economic law, and empirical legal studies. Through qualitative and quantitative methods, his J.S.D. dissertation explores the role of demand-pull law and policy in promoting technological innovation and industrial upgrading in China’s solar industry.
